Question:I heard my friends last year telling me that 'Pluto no more',what is the meaning of this?
Well milky way, what they actually meant was that Pluto was Demoted from planetary status to a new category called 'Dwarf Planet'by IAU(International Astronomical Union)in 24 August 2006.Pluto is still there in our Solar System, and not 'no more'
Yes Pluto has 3 moons,Charon, the largest was discovered in 1978 and 2 other smaller moons Hydra and Nix were discovered in 2005 as stated below in my blog main page.
I am sorry milky way,but I only can answer questions about astronomy not your own questions, and if you or anyone else dares to ask this sort of questions again,I may have to report you.
Please(Anonymous),please select a name besides(Anonymous) otherwise I will not reply your quetion.Extra-solar planets are planets orbiting other stars in our Galaxy.(But not in our Solar System!)
For Freeze, the moons bigger than Mercury are Ganymede,Jupiter's largest moon, and Titan,Saturn's largest moon.Ganymede is bigger than Mercury by about 400km,and Titan about 330km.
For Black, black holes are formed when white, red or brown dwarfs(collapsed stars)collapse. Thus black holes are formed.black holes have the power to rip our Sun apart if it gets to close to it.
Pop,it is because of the combonation of the strong, fierce, vicious and devastating gravities of Jupiter,Europa, and Ganymede, that tug these pushes the Io,like squeezing out the juice of an orange, for example.
A 'hot Jupiter'refers to a Jupiter-size planet that is hot, which means it orbits its Sun,unlike our Jupiter, which is a 'cold Jupiter' 1 example is the slightly bigger than Jupiter planet orbiting the star 51 Pegasi. That Jupiter distance from it is just slightly more farther than Mercury!
The reason why Mercury and Venus can't be seen at night is because their orbit are inside of Earth's.So to see them, only during the time where we see the Sun's light:Morning, evening and afternoon.
Ver simple. It was believed that a Mars-sized object collided with Earth and eventually most of the materials clump together after a long time and form our Moon. Why Earth is refered as the 'Goldilocks planet'is because it is neither too hot or cold,if you read the story about Goldilocks, who burg into the bears house and wanted to eat their porridge but one was too hot and other was too cold and the last one was neither both of them but just right.

Does Pluto has moons?

No wonder why your email and blogspot address considers the names of these 3 moons of Pluto!
I wonder how smart are you in astronomy?
Very smart,do mess up with then.
Then which country do live?how old are u?Do you have a hanphone?
I am sorry milky way,but I only can answer questions about astronomy not your own questions, and if you or anyone else dares to ask this sort of questions again,I may have to report you.
What are extra-solar planets Mr.Universal Astronomer if I may ask?
Please(Anonymous),please select a name besides(Anonymous) otherwise I will not reply your quetion.Extra-solar planets are planets orbiting other stars in our Galaxy.(But not in our Solar System!)
Then how many are known?
About slightly more than 200.
You guys can also ask more questions on the above blog title.
I'm confused!Which moons are bigger than Mercury?Could you help me out?
How do black holes formed?
For Freeze, the moons bigger than Mercury are Ganymede,Jupiter's largest moon, and Titan,Saturn's largest moon.Ganymede is bigger than Mercury by about 400km,and Titan about 330km.
Why does Jupiter's large moon Io have the most active volcanoes in the Solar System, why not Venus or Earth>
What is the ring material of Uranus?
Phobos and Deimos...are they asteroids or moons of Mars?
What is a 'hot Jupiter' mention in several astronmical books?
Uranut, these ring materials of Uranus are made up of one of the rarest darkest matter yet discovered.
They are both Phobos. If they weren't captured by Mars's gravity, they will be classifield only as asteroids.
A 'hot Jupiter'refers to a Jupiter-size planet that is hot, which means it orbits its Sun,unlike our Jupiter, which is a 'cold Jupiter'
1 example is the slightly bigger than Jupiter planet orbiting the star 51 Pegasi. That Jupiter distance from it is just slightly more farther than Mercury!
What is our nearest star neighbour?
How long is 1AU?
Why isn't Mercury and Venus in sight of us astronomers at night?
How long has it been since the Big Bang theory occured? Not when was the theory started, when it was thoght to started.
Our nearest star neighbour is Alpha Centauri,4.2 light years away.
1AU=The average distance of Earth's orbit from the Sun:93 million miles/150 million kilometers
The reason why Mercury and Venus can't be seen at night is because their orbit are inside of Earth's.So to see them, only during the time where we see the Sun's light:Morning, evening and afternoon.
An estimated 15 billion years ago.
Why does Earth have a large moon unlike other terresial planets?and why is it sometimes refered as the Goldilocks planet?
